Telangana state is one of the most frequented tourist places

How the Telangana State Got its Name:
One of the oldest dynasties in India the Sathavahanas were the dominant power here. The rule was followed by the reign of prominent royal dynasties like the Vakataka, Chalukyas, Rashtrakutas but the golden age of the Telangana region came under the region of the Kakatiya dynasty which is attributed for most of the ancient architecture in this State. In the 14th century the city of Hyderabad came under the Delhi sultanate and the Nizams of Hyderabad which lead to it becoming a princely State.
The name Telangana is belived to have been derived from
Telugu, the language that’s widely spoken in the State. The rest of the former
Hyderabad State consisted of a Marathi-speaking community, thus giving
Telangana State its distinction.

Since Telangana has a population that follows various Indian
traditions and also from other countries like the Persian influence, the state
enjoys a varied culture and thus, it is rich on this front. Some of the major
festivals of North India are celebrated here, although Telangana State is a
Southern State of India. Poets and artists such as pothana also make the state
famous and unique.
Some of the regional festivals of Telangana State includes
Bonalu, Bathukamma and Sammakka Saralamma Jatara. The other popular
celebrations include Dussehra, Ganesh Chaturthi and Ugadi.

Two types of cuisine are popular in Telangana State, the
Telugu cuisine and Hyderabadi cuisine. While Telugu cuisine is a South Indian
cuisine that’s known for being spicy, the Hyderabadi cuisine is a blend of
Telugu and other dishes such as Arab, Tukish and Mughlai. Hyderabadi Dum
Biryani is one of the delicacies the state is famous for.
Transportations Within the Telangana State:
The connectivity and conveyance is reliable and helpful for
travelers and tourists to reach Telangana from different states in India and
other countries too. The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad is a
major connecting point to the state. The railways and roadways also help in
travelling within the Telangana state.
